In 2011, the Ontario Student Trustees' Association, in partnership with Student Vote and Scholarships Canada, launched the second annual Ontario Student Survey. It was a student initiated and student led project, where students both selected the questions and organized the survey.

We surveyed over 7,100 students and 2,500 parents about ten questions ranging from social media, to mental health, to sex education. The results were released on October 21st, 2011 at 10:30 am.

The Ontario Student Trustees' Association was also excited to launch the Ontario Parent Survey, in partnership with People for Education. Parents and students were asked the same questions, and the results show where they agree and where they are miles apart.

The Surveys are now closed. They ran for thirty days, from May 16 to June 16.

We would like to sincerely thank the thousands of students and parents from across Ontario who took the time to fill out the second annual Ontario Student Survey and the first annual Ontario Parent Survey.
